MEMBERSHIP AND SCHEDULE
Membership in the Sheldon Chorale is by
audition only. New singers should demonstrate excellent reading skills, spot on pitch, warm flexible voices and a love of good choral music.

Our schedule is intense with eleven rehearsals
in a three week period leading up to each concert. Rehearsals are on Thursday evening, Saturday morning, Sunday afternoon and
Monday evening, with concerts always falling on Monday evenings at The Sheldon Concert Hall.

The only in-residence ensemble of The Sheldon Concert Hall, The Sheldon Chorale is dedicated to high quality performance of choral literature between the large orchestral/choral works and purely a cappella repertoire. Seeking to understand composers' musical language based upon the texts they find inspiring,

The Sheldon Chorale aims to realize the musical needs of each and every piece. Small instrumental ensembles join the 28 vocal musicians to present programs that delight and inspire.

The Chorale has been featured on “Live from The Garden” on KFUO Classic 99 (November 2008) and on “Living St. Louis” on KETC Channel 9 (December 31, 2007). To watch the “Living St. Louis” segment go to: www.youtube.com
